Many school systems have specified days during the school year for school nurses and staff to engage in professional development activities. The Community Education Initiative at Boston Children's Hospital offers a variety of lectures that include the most current issues related to school health. School districts can submit a training request including date/time, preference for virtual or in-person program, and specific topics of interest. We can offer 2-hour training sessions, half-day programs, or full-day programs depending on your needs!

We offer a few options for hosting a professional day training. Trainings can be:

  • Virtual via Zoom platform
  • At your school or community location

Please do the following:

  • Review the fee schedule
  • Complete the professional day request form.
  • One of our program coordinators will reach out to let you know they are working on your request, and will be in touch once a speaker is confirmed.

Topic List

*Contact hours and PDPs for programs are 2.0 per 2-hour session. Please note that any request for contact hours requires 90 days advanced notice. Many other topics available as desired by school system. If you don't see what you are looking for, please ask!
