This program is being offered to provide school nurses with advanced education on the respiratory system and assessment techniques; to learn the anatomy and physiology of the respiratory system and how to assess students with different respiratory conditions is of utmost importance to their role as health care providers in the school system. The program will explain key components of the anatomy of the respiratory system, identify normal versus altered breath sounds, and discuss physical assessment related to respiratory conditions. School nurses will learn how to best support children presenting with respiratory symptoms or with respiratory disorders in the school setting.
