Recognizing When it’s Not a Food Allergy, and How to Respond When It Is (1.0 Contact Hours)

This program will provide education about asthma and allergic conditions to registered nurses and nurse practitioners. Using case presentation, lecture, and Q&A format, the education will focus on asthma and allergy assessment and management. Specifically, the talks will be about assessment and treatment of asthma at home and in schools, a new asthma therapy, assessing patients during nursing procedures, and assessment and management of allergic reactions and FPIES. These assessment and management strategies will help nurses control asthma and allergic conditions as well as teach patients how to control their condition.
