This course is designed to address a critical educational need among school nurses: the identification, management, and appropriate referral of common dermatological conditions in school-aged children. Currently, there is a noticeable practice gap in school nurses’ knowledge and confidence related to skin assessments and differentiating between benign and concerning dermatologic issues. Because skin conditions are among the most frequent reasons for school clinic visits, this knowledge is essential for timely intervention. The course will provide the knowledge about assessment, management, and warning signs for referral of children who present with dermatological conditions.
